Hi, it’s Anuj again.
Here are this week’s opportunities in fashion law. Same as every week, I went through the careers portals myself, one company at a time, opened every role and dropped anything that had closed. Thirteen roles from last week’s list are gone, which is exactly why this gets redone from scratch each time.
This is also the biggest list I have put together so far. If you still have a friend who thinks fashion law is too niche to have real jobs in it, forward them this one.
This week: 104 legal, IP, brand protection, privacy and compliance roles across 42 fashion and beauty employers in 19 countries, including 39 internships and early-career places. 46 of them are new since last week.
Three things stood out while putting this together.
The Paris internship season is properly open. 27 of the 39 early-career places are in France, including nine that say January 2027 on the posting, across Louis Vuitton, LVMH, Dior, Givenchy, Kenzo, Guerlain, Sephora, Hermès, Chanel and Boucheron. Most are advertised in French, which tells you the working language. If that is you, this is the fortnight to apply, not November.
Chanel is hiring across its whole legal team. 18 roles this week, from a legal operations lead in London to IP and litigation work in Paris and six internships between Paris and Geneva.
Privacy roles now come with AI attached. Last week I promised a breakdown of what the privacy hiring wave actually wants on your CV. It is further down, just above the privacy roles.
One small ask. If something here works out for you, reply and tell me, I read every reply. And if you are curious about the rest of what I build, from Fashion Law Journal to Legal Desire and the tools behind them, it all lives at anujkumar.co. I share the day-to-day on my Instagram stories and LinkedIn.

What the privacy wave actually wants on your CV
I read seven of this week’s privacy job descriptions line by line: Chanel, adidas, lululemon, VF Corporation, Uniqlo, Shiseido and L’Oréal. Here is what they actually ask for.
1. AI is now part of the privacy job. Five of the seven put AI in the duties, not in the nice-to-haves. adidas wants one person across privacy, AI and data regulation. Uniqlo’s role supports the group’s data protection and AI programmes. If you have done any work on the EU AI Act or AI governance, move it to the top of your CV.
2. Marketing and customer data, not GDPR theory. Four of the seven name marketing, CRM, e-commerce or direct-to-consumer work. Brands collect customer data through loyalty programmes, apps, email and SMS, and they want someone who has advised on exactly that. Consent, cookies and marketing campaigns are the experience to show.
3. Certifications help, but they are not the gate. Four of the seven mention an IAPP certification such as CIPP or CIPM, and Uniqlo also lists AIGP. Every one of them says preferred or a plus. None makes it a requirement.
4. The entry point is lower than people assume. adidas asks for three to five years, Chanel and Uniqlo around four. The eight to ten year asks belong to the senior roles at lululemon, VF and L’Oréal.
5. The local language is often the real filter. Korean for Chanel in Seoul, German for Uniqlo in Berlin. If you have the language, say so in your first line.
None of this needs a fashion background. Privacy is still the cleanest lateral door into a fashion house.

How this board works
Every listing here was located on the company’s own careers site or its own applicant tracking system and confirmed live before publication. Roles that had been filled or withdrawn were dropped rather than listed; thirteen came off this week for that reason. Aggregator listings were not used. Some roles may still be filled or taken down between this email landing and you clicking, and we remove anything closed in the next weekly update. If you find a dead link, reply to this email and tell me. |
Before you go
This board goes to FLJ Insider subscribers. If it was useful, the most helpful thing you can do is forward it to one person who is trying to get into fashion law.
Come say hello. I am on Instagram and LinkedIn, where I am starting to write about building Fashion Law Journal and Legal Desire in public, what I am learning about legal tech, and the career questions that land in my inbox. Send me a connection request and tell me you came from this newsletter. Everything else I work on is at anujkumar.co.
Fashion Law Journal itself is on Instagram and LinkedIn, where we post the openings that come in between issues.
Next week: a fresh batch.
